This is a story about Maura and Pierson, and how Pierson leaves to go into the military, leaving Maura behind. Maura is now 23 and has lost her parents and is working as a caterer, and Pierson shows back up in her life to win her back. I loved Pierson. He may have his issues with the war, but for the most part he is a tentative lover and he would do anything for Maura to make her happy. Maura is a little hesitant to get back with him, but I love that she gives it a shot and follows her heart while still being cautious. This story is well written and I love that Ms. Youngblood had both Maura and Pierson's POV's. It gave you a better understanding of each character and gave more depth to the chemistry between the two characters. Ms. Youngblood also had strong and wonderful supporting characters to help Maura and Pierson along the way and I love that in a book. This book has a sweet storyline and a couple of heart dropping spots in it. It is a must read and belongs on everyone's TBR list. I cant wait to see what else Ms. Youngblood will come out with.
